McHenry County Director of Transportation and County Engineer Joseph Korpalski said the county will temporarily close a portion of Harmony Road near Huntley, between Brier Hill Road and Hemmer Road, Monday through Friday next week, to replace a collapsed culvert.
Other associated work will include backfilling, asphalt patching and restoration.
Crews from Alliance Contractors will set up detour signs.
James Werner is the county's construction manager for the project.
McHenry County Department of Transportation officials expect the project to be complete, with roads reopened, by the end of the week.
