Crystal Lake releases minutes from council's holiday planning meeting

Hearing

The Crystal Lake City Council has released the minutes of its Nov. 17 meeting during which it discussed the Festival of Lights Parade and other holiday plans.

Mayor Aaron Shepley urged all those in attendance to go to the parade, calling it a good, wholesome event for all of the family. The 19th annual Festival of Lights Parade on Nov. 27 was slated to have 50 parade units and Santa in a sleigh pulled by horses.

In the mayor’s report, Shepley gave a “Giving Tuesday” proclamation to Christin Kruse from the Pioneer Center.

Several items were on the consent agenda, including several variations to the city code, such as parking restrictions and the time of the parade.
