Barrington Hills approves police bargaining agreement

Policecomission

Barrington Hills village trustees voted to approve a collective bargaining agreement between the village and the Metropolitan Alliance of Police at the Nov. 19 Village Board meeting.

The agreement, which had been discussed at prior meetings, clarifies that the Police Department will offer work to part-time officers before assigning work to full-time officers.

Village trustees also discussed the status of the police dispatch consolidation project. The project was completed and everything appears to be going smoothly. There were a couple of small issues involving communications between the Quadcom system and police officers.
