The Woodstock Historic Preservation Commission is scheduled to discuss repair work at the Old Courthouse at its meeting at 7 p.m. Monday meeting in Woodstock City Hall.
Information regarding window and ceiling repairs at the building, which houses the Old Courthouse Arts Center and the Woodstock Public House restaurant, will be presented.
The city said on its website that the courthouse underwent a Technical Assistance Panel (TAP) analysis in order to determine the best path forward in restoring the building for use in other aspects. The site also said that public access is restricted to the ground floor and select portions of higher floors.
The building was built in 1857 at the center of McHenry County, according to the Building and Zoning Department of Woodstock. The building was transferred to city ownership in 2011.
The commission will also be holding discussions regarding the removal of an awning at the former Elks Lodge at 140 Cass St. and finding a qualified owner for a property for 315 W. Judd.
