Lakewood approved a contract to repair one of its wells.
The Lakewood Village Board voted Feb. 9 to approve a contract with Municipal Well and Pump to repair a village pump.
Under this contract, the company will be carrying out repairs at Well 1 and will also be replacing a motor and pump assembly. The meeting notes indicate that the malfunctioning components were discovered on Feb. 3. Well 1 and Well 3 were removed from service as the second well blends with the first.
The company issued a quote that indicated the cost would not exceed $42,201. This would include replacement of the pump and televised inspection services that aid in the repair process by offering a visualization of the well’s physical properties and geological properties in the surrounding earth.
