The Crystal Lake City Council will consider requests for events to be held later this month during its meeting at 7:30 p.m.Tuesday.
St. Thomas Church is requesting the closure of Lake Street between the east portion of the church and Washington Street in order to allow space for a reenactment of the Stations of the Cross from 2 - 7 p.m.March 25. The reenactment coincides with Easter-related services from the church.
The council will also consider a request from Knights of Columbus Council 10678 for a temporary liquor license for its Irish Fest is set to take place from 5 - 10 p.m. March 12 at 1023 McHenry Ave.
There is also a request from the Crystal Lake Rowing Club for a waiver on boat sticker requirements and the closure of Lake Shore Drive between Dole Avenue and the Main Beach boat ramp for an event running from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. May 7.
