The McCullom Lake Village Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Tuesday to discuss awarding a contract to conduct the annual village audit.
The board will consider awarding the contract for the auditing process to Brian Zabel & Associates P.C., which conducted the 2015 village audit which studied the financial statements relating to the governmental activity and business activities for all of the major funds managed by the village.
The company’s financial audit completed in 2015 of that financial reports up to March 31, 2014, showed that village assets surpassed its liabilities by $2,218,663 and that the net position saw an increase of $240,957. The report also indicated that debt held by the village also increased by $358,014, a 14 percent increase.
