The Algonquin Historic Commission discussed an upcoming meeting with other historic groups throughout the county during its own meeting on March 9.
The Joint Council of McHenry County Historic Groups will be meeting on March 23. According to an agenda on the county’s website, it is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. and conclude at 9 p.m.
This joint meeting will be focused on the county’s new archives building; McHenry County Records Manager Bill Draths will be giving an overview of the building; and there will be a question-and-answer session.
The meeting will take place at the McHenry County Archives, which is located at 15165 Nelson Road, Woodstock.
The commission also discussed new exhibit plans and its ongoing interview project.
Meeting minutes from the commission’s previous regular and workshop meetings that took place on Feb. 10, 20 and 27 were reviewed and voted on by commission members, as well.
Two workshop meetings are scheduled to take place on March 19 and 26, both of which take place between 8:30 a.m. and noon.
