Algonquin Township renews historical society membership

The Algonquin Township Board voted Feb. 10 to approve renewing its membership with the McHenry County Historical Society.

The Algonquin Township Board voted Feb. 10 to approve renewing its membership with the McHenry County Historical Society.

The meeting minutes state that with membership to the society, schoolchildren within the public school system are granted access to historical society sites with no costs at admission. The renewal of membership costs $1,000 for the township. 

The board also approved audits of the Town Fund, amounting to $104,294.77; the Road and Bridge Fund of $122,932.01; the Equipment and Building Fund, amounting to $36,870.35; and the General Assistance Fund of $45,506.33. 

The board also approved accepting resolutions for Weston Ravlolo and Christopher Ruckoldt, Jr., two Fox River Grove Eagle Scouts.
