Algonquin considers liquor code amendments

The Algonquin Village Board discussed amendments to the municipal code regarding liquor licenses during its meeting on Tuesday, March 15.

The agenda state the amendments regard sections of the code that deal with the issuance of liquor licenses, definitions related to licenses, descriptions of the classes of license that are available to be issued within the village and associated permits for events and special uses. 

The board also considered the approval for a request from the American Legion to hold the annual Memorial Day Parade on May 30 and an event request for the District 300 Color Run that will take place on April 30.

Other items that were considered included allowing a bid from Arrow Road Construction to facilitate the Harper Drive project for total of $632,786 and a proposal that would authorize an agreement with Sikich in order to provide municipal auditing services.
