Meeting minutes indicate the discussion focused on safety issues, fee reduction and the costs and budgetary burden of a red-light camera. It was noted that there is approximately 3,300 vehicles that travel on Route 22 on a daily basis and the meeting notes state that approximately 16 tickets are issued in the area. Village President Robert Nunamaker said that such a device would have potential to increase the village’s tax base.

There was also discussions regarding damage that had been seen at certain parks in the village from vehicles. The meeting minutes state that soccer fields at Norge Park would not be used by the Recreation Council following car damage that had resulted from parking during the Norge Tournament.
