Tryouts for the City of Harvard's Park and Recreation Junior Hornets boys traveling basketball teams will be held next month at Harvard Junior High School.
The tryouts will be held on Nov. 8 and 10. Fifth- and sixth-graders will try out from 6:30-7:30 p.m. each night, while seventh- and eighth-graders will have their tryouts from 7:30-8:30 p.m.
Insurance waivers must be submitted and are available for download at CityOfHarvard.org. They must be signed and brought to the tryout, along with the finished program registration and a basketball with the participant's name on it.
Cost for each participant is $178 for residents and $188 for nonresidents. The first $100 is due when the participant makes the team. Checks should be made out to the City of Harvard.
Also, the fifth- and seventh-grade teams need volunteer coaches.
