Village of Algonquin Historic Commission met March 17. 

Here is the minutes as provided by the commission:

Call to Order - Establish Quorum:

          Meeting called to order at 8:30 a.m.

Present:

          Chairman Jolitz

          Members: Purn, Zange, Lewis

Volunteers:

          Pat Zange

Visitors:

          None

Activities:

          This session concerned a continuation of sorting donations from local residents, filing, and

          research.

          Members discussed the purchase of a leaf on the Algonquin Tree of Honor. Proposed Text:

          Marie Layer Coleman/1922-2018/Artist, Educator, Historian/. Funded by donations by members

          of the Commission

          Members discussed the preservation and accessioning of donated materials.

          Members Purn and Zange researched the history of businesses and houses along Algonquin

          Road

          Member Lewis worked on transcribing the monthly meeting and workshop minutes.

          Moved by Member Zange to adjourn at 11:39. Motion seconded by Member Purn. Voice Vote.

          All Ayes. Meeting adjourned at 11:40 a.m.
