Village of Wonder Lake Village Board Committee of the Whole met April 18.

Here is the minutes provided by the Whole:

Meeting called to order at 7:03 pm

Roll Call Present: Topf, McIntosh, Gay, Learman, Palys, Reinhard, Windler

Absent: Anderson, Naatz

A quorum was established with 4 Trustees

Attorney Not Present

Public Comment: None

Department Updates

Engineering – Steve Zehner, Robinson Engineering – Not Present – Report by Trustee Learman

 Pheasant & Hilltop – cover moved; need to find out what it is; starting to decay and may cause problems

Public Works – Chuck Bissell – Present

 Snow – preparing for possible event coming

 Drainage Problem – working on it; looking at a drainage system with no electric or moving parts to direct the natural spring; need to put a cover over it

Police - Chief Crilly – Present

 Speed Board – out at Jacobsen Park now that the weather is getting nice

 Harrison School – meeting to discuss a live shooter drill after the school renovations are completed.

General Affairs – Trustee Reinhard – Present – Hand out dated March 2018

 Softball and Soccer Registration – 4 softball teams and 90 soccer players; will be using both Jacobsen and Woods Creek Parks

Financial – Trustee Naatz – Not Present – Nothing at this time

E.S.D.A. Health - Trustee Palys – Present – Nothing at this time

Planning and Zoning Commission – Chairperson Cavanaugh – Not Present – Nothing at this time

Communications / Public Relations – Trustee Windler – Present

 Spring Newsletter – finalizing information

Sewer and Water – Trustee Anderson – Not Present – Nothing at this time

Old Business:

 Habitat for Humanity – Trustee Learman informed the Board that Habitat for Humanity met with P&Z and found out what is needed to meet elevations for Meadow of West Bay

 Solicitor Permits – Trustee Learman has received some complaints about solicitors and received a request to not allow solicitors in the Village; will need to discuss with Village Attorney

 Abandoned Houses/Properties – Trustees discussed how cannot find owners so not sure what the Village can do; how in the past there was a committee that reviewed the properties, prioritized the list and worked on the worst one first; Trustee Palys volunteered to work on the committee

 Water Meter & B-Box Bid – have received 2 bids so far

New Business:

 Water Ski Team Calendar – received email asking for activity dates

 Community Clean Up Day – received email asking if could start up a cleanup day; Village President Topf will contact resident to find out more information; Trustee Windler will check into possible options

Motion to Adjourn the Committee of the Whole Meeting

Motion by: Trustee Learman

Second by: Trustee Palys

Voice Vote Ayes: Learman, Palys, Reinhard, Windler

Nays: None

Abstain: None

Absent: Anderson, Naatz

Motion carries with 4 Trustees

Meeting Adjourned at 7:29 PM
