Seneca Township Board of Trustees met April 10.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

The Regular Monthly Meeting of the Seneca Township Board of Trustees was called to order at 6:38 pm by Supervisor James Kagel at the Seneca Township Building located at 16506 Garden Valley Road, Woodstock, Illinois.

Township Officials in Attendance: Supervisor James Kagel, Trustees Rosemary Bartman, Susan Mathews, and Gerald Gieseke, Road Commissioner Scott Swanson, Assessor Tammy Benitez, and Clerk Dawn Seemann. Absent Officials: None. Vacant Position: Trustee

Guests in Attendance: None.

Assessor's Report: Benitez informed the board that she has been continuing with sales ratio studies; has started going out in the field with questions from county and permits; and received Home Owner Exemption Sheet to review, which she will work on this month.

M inutes: Mathews motioned to approve the March 13, 2018 regular monthly minutes as presented. Second by Gieseke. Motion passed.

Audit of Current Bills:

Road District - Mathews motioned to approve the Road District bills for payment for the period of March 14, 2018 through April 10, 2018 in the amount of $65,444.64. Second by Bartman. Voting yes: Bartman, Mathews, Gieseke, Kagel. Voting no: None. Motion passed.

Town Fund - Mathews motioned to approve the Town Fund bills for payment for the period of March 14, 2018 through April 10, 2018 in the amount of $17,421.29. Second by Bartman. Voting yes: Bartman, Mathews, Gieseke, Kagel. Voting no: None. Motion passed.

Treasurer's Report: Mathews motioned to approve the Treasurer's Report for the period of March 1, 2018 through March 31, 2018, as listed below. Second by Gieseke. Voting yes: Bartman, Mathews, Gieseke, Kagel. Voting no: None. Motion passed.

General Assistance Report: Kagel reported he had one person taken off of general assistance.

Clerk's Report: Seemann has nothing to report this month.

Road Commissioner's Report: Swanson informed the board that he is purchasing two new John Deere tractors, and trading in a 1990 Ford tractor 5610 and a 2000 John Deere tractor 5205. In addition, he has been patching roads, picking up garbage along the right-of-ways, and doing regular maintenance.

Old Business:

A. Discuss reinstating the Planning Commission - Kagel contacted the current members of the Planning Commission and found that only Jan Hervert and Susan Standish are the only ones still interested on being on the Planning Commission. We need three more. Kagel will inquire if the Township Board could also act as the Planning Commission. This issue has been tabled.

New Business:

A. Approve any line item transfers - Swanson had one line item transfer: He transferred $23.01 from line item 3435 Road and Bridge Misc. to line item 3310 Road and Bridge Social Security/Medicare. Mathews motioned to approve the line item transfer. Second by Gieseke. Motion passed.

Supervisor's Report: Kagel gave the board Profit & Loss Budget vs. Actual Town Fund for their records.

Motion to Adjourn: At 7:07 pm, Mathews motioned to adjourn tonight's regular monthly meeting. Second by Gieseke. Motion passed.
