Village of Richmond Finance Committee met July 15.

Chairman Ramsin Wardanian called the Regular Finance Committee meeting held on July 15, 2019 at the Village Hall (5600 Hunter Drive) to order at 4:05 PM.
Members Present: Trustees: TJ Fulmer and Ramsin Wardanian (Chair).
Members Absent: Trustee Dennis Bardy.
Other Employees/Officials Present: Village Clerk Karla Thomas.
Approval of Minutes: The approval of the Regular Finance Committee meeting minutes for July 1, 2019 were tabled.
Trustee Fulmer moved, seconded by Trustee Wardanian to table the approval of the Regular Finance Committee minutes for July 1, 2019 until the next committee meeting. The motion was approved by voice vote.
Review and Recommendation of Bills for Approval: The committee members reviewed and signed off on invoices submitted for payment.
Public Comments: None.
Clerk’s Comments: Clerk Thomas reported that one of the Village’s phone lines was compromised and she had blocked all outgoing international phone calls. The Village’s phone carrier has requested that the company that installed the phone system investigate the problem and take corrective action. Clerk Thomas reported that the cost to evaluation the issue could cost, as much as, $1,000.00. The Clerk was asked to ascertain the cost of the international calls made and report back to the committee.
Unfinished Business: None.
New Business: The committee discussed the establishment of Capital Improvement Funds for Administration, Police, and Public Works (Parks/Streets). Trustee Wardanian reported that the Finance Clerk requested two weeks’ notice in order to move money. Procedures for request of expenditures were briefly discussed.
Trustee Comments: Clerk Thomas was directed to place the subject of “Discuss establishment of Capital Improvement Funds with Investment Fund Interest” on the next Finance Committee Agenda.
Adjournment: There being no further business to discuss, Trustee Fulmer moved, seconded by Trustee Wardanian to adjourn the July 15, 2019 Regular Finance Committee meeting. The motion was approved by voice vote.
