Burton Township Board met Oct. 3.

Here is the minutes provided by the Board:

Supervisor Flood called the regular monthly meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 03, 2019 in the Village Hall, Spring Grove, IL.

Roll call present: Supervisor Flood, Road Commissioner Sutton, Clerk Shetsky, Trustees; Eileen Miller, Ted Trzaskowski, Merrilee Anhalt, Dennis Reichert and Assessor, Jessica Huber.

Supervisor Flood led those in attendance in the Pledge of Allegiance. The minutes of the regular meeting held on September 10, 2019 were read.

Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt made a motion to accept the minutes as read, seconded by Trustee: Eileen Miller, the accounts payable were presented for payment for the various funds, they were audited, initialed and ordered paid.

Supervisors Report

- John spoke with the contact person with McRide, he may attend our November meeting to discuss the services they offer.

- John met with the Richmond Township Supervisor, the two of them reviewed and signed Inner governmental agreement.

- Through TOIRMA, the board is covered for wrongful act in the amount of $3 million dollars per occurrence, per member.

- John met with our accountant on 9/26 to submit all necessary paperwork for the audit. The cost will be between $10,000 and $13,000.

- If we were considering changing the time of our meeting, we would discuss and vote on it at the Annual meeting in April 2020.

Road and Bridge:

- The owner of the abandoned boat in our Township is still not found.

- The patchwork that was scheduled throughout Burton has been completed.

- Dan will work on receiving funds to repave Park and Milburn roads in 2020. He would also like to have some patchwork on Coventry done.

- Dan has enough salt to begin our winter season with, he will email his contact to add to his supply.

Assessor Report:

- The assessments will be published on Friday, October 6th, 2019.

- The County Club Townhomes were reassessed this fall. She also assessed, Main St., Blivin and Richardson Road.

- Jessica will hire someone to help with fieldwork, sales and research. She will introduce him at our next meeting.

- She is out of town the October 15th – 18th and checking emails.

Clerks Report:

Worked with John filing and organizing at the Hall.

Trustees Report

No report at this time.

New Business:

- Supervisor Flood will be out of Town October 5th – 13th.

- We will meet at the Grove after our meeting to say Good-by to Sam and wish him well.

Adjournment of Regular Meeting:

A motion was made by Trustee: Merrilee Anhalt to adjourn the meeting at 7:26 pm, it was seconded by Trustee: Dennis Riechert, voice vote all ayes, motion carried.
