Nunda Rural Fire Protection District responded to 92 calls in 2018 - 119 percent more than the previous year, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System.

The calls in Nunda Rural included 59 fires - 52 structure fires, two vehicle fires and five other fires.

The department also received 33 false calls.

The Nunda Rural Fire Protection District had an annual budget of $1,281,517 in 2018.

The Nunda Rural Fire Protection District Firefighters Pension Fund, which has active employee and one retired or inactive employee, was $26,508 in debt as of April 2017, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $884 for every fire in 2017.
