Thursday, March 5, at 6 p.m. saw former Cary-Grove High School standout Charlie Taczy and the UIC Flames fall 9-8 in their NCAA Division I baseball game against the Missouri Tigers.

Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field was the site of the contest. It marked the teams’ first meeting of the season.

Taczy threw one inning and struck out two batters.

The Flames are set to play the Tigers again at Taylor Stadium at Simmons Field on Friday, March 6.
