City of McHenry Board of Police Commissioners met March 2.

Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:15 pm in the McHenry Municipal Center City Council Chambers with the following Commissioners present, Mike Roberts and John Jones. Also present was Deputy Chief Tom Walsh and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent Chief John Birk

Public Comment

None.

1. Motion to Approve February 2, 2022 Meeting Report

Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commission Mike Roberts and second by John Jones to approve the minutes from the February 2, 2022, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.

2. Unfinished Business

Personnel Update – Officers Szoke and Diebold still in Field Training in Step 2. Both are doing fine. Advancing to Step 3 soon and hopefully around May 1st solo patrol by themselves.

Still have 2 openings. In the background process for 2 candidates, William Campos and Grahm McClure. Academy starts mid to late April.
