City of McHenry Board of Police Commissioners met March 6

Police Chairman Sue Meyer called the meeting to order at 2:00 pm in the Police Administration Conference Room with the following Commissioner present Stephen Doherty. Also present was Deputy Chief Tom Walsh and Administrative Assistant Deb Shuett. Absent: Chief Birk and Police Commissioner John Jones

1. Motion to Approve February 7, 2024 Meeting Report
Motion by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve meeting minutes. Police Commissioner Stephen Doherty and second by Police Chairman Sue Meyer to approve the minutes from the February 7, 2024, meeting. Police Commission meeting as presented. All ayes, motion carried.

3. New Business
Backgrounds were completed on the top 2 candidates – Jake Busse and Michael Rodriguez. Gave both conditional job offers. Swearing in ceremony April 8th at 8:30 am.
Sergeant test later this year.
