A jury has found Ladell D. Walker Sr., an Elgin resident, guilty of drug-induced homicide after a fentanyl overdose led to a man’s death in McHenry County. The verdict follows extensive investigation linking Walker with supplying drugs before the incident.

McHenry County will begin posting most property assessment notices online instead of mailing them this year. Officials say this move aims to save over $65,000 annually in postage costs while providing digital access and alert options for residents.
