Tyler Vasey, a finance major from Crystal Lake, Illinois, at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, is among four Warhawk football players named to the D3football.com All-Region team for their 2025 season performances.

Alex Pethan (Oak Creek, Wis./Oak Creek), Tyler Vasey (Crystal Lake, Ill./Prairie Ridge), Noah Moris (Union Grove, Wis./Union Grove), and Ethan Gallagher (Homer Glen, Ill./Lockport Township) were all selected First Team All-Region 6.

Pethan received his second First Team All-Region honor after also being recognized in 2023. The senior offensive guard has been named to the All-Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) team three times in 2023, 2024, and 2025.

Vasey has been a leading return specialist in Division III over the past three seasons. A 2024 All-American, he earned his second consecutive First Team All-Region honor this year. The junior is a four-time All-WIAC selection and was recognized on both special teams and as an all-purpose player in 2025. He also received Newcomer of the Year honors in 2023.

Moris, a sophomore defensive tackle, is a two-time all-league selection who picked up his first All-Region recognition this season.

Gallagher earned his first All-Region honor in 2025. The senior linebacker has been an all-conference pick for three straight seasons.

Moris and Gallagher contributed to what was described as the best defense in one of Division III’s toughest leagues this season. With four league teams advancing to the 2025 NCAA Division III Championship—the first time four teams from the same conference have reached postseason play—UW-Whitewater led the WIAC in scoring defense, total defense, and defensive efficiency while ranking second in rushing and passing defense.

On offense, Pethan and Vasey helped lead UW-Whitewater’s second-best rushing offense and third-best scoring offense within the league. Vasey captained what was considered the top kickoff return unit in the conference.

The Warhawks advanced to the second round of the NCAA Championship—marking their 20th appearance in the Division III playoffs—and finished with an overall record of 8-3.
