Missouri State Lions fall to Rogers State Hillcats 8-7 in Division II matchup

At 1 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 22, the Missouri State Lions, featuring former McHenry High School standout Kyle Kaempf, were edged out 8-7 by the Rogers State Hillcats in an NCAA Division II baseball contest.

RCB Bank Sports Complex served as the venue for the closely contested game. This meeting marked the third time this season the Lions and Hillcats played one another. The prior matchup took place Saturday, Feb. 21, with the Lions winning 9-3.

Kaempf gave up one earned run over 1.2 innings, walking one and striking out one.

The Lions are set to return to action on Friday, Feb. 27, at 2 p.m. when they host the Northeastern State Riverhawks at Warren Turner Field.
