Former McHenry High School standout Kyle Kaempf helped his current team, the Missouri State Lions, secure a 9-3 victory against the Washburn Ichabods during their NCAA Division II baseball contest held at 3 p.m. Friday, March 13.

Warren Turner Field served as the setting for the matchup, which marked the first game between the Lions and the Ichabods this season.

Kaempf pitched 1.1 innings, allowing two earned runs while striking out two and walking one batter.
