On Sunday, Feb. 22, at 1 p.m., Gavin Micklinghoff, a former standout at McHenry High School, helped his team, the Northern Illinois Huskies, secure a 9-6 victory over the Wofford Terriers in their NCAA Division I baseball contest.
The game took place at Russell C. King Field and marked the first meeting of the season between the squads.
Micklinghoff contributed 2.1 innings on the mound.
Northern Illinois is set to face the Lindenwood Lions at Lou Brock Sports Complex on Friday, Feb. 27, at 1 p.m.
