Northern Illinois claimed a 5-2 victory over the Kent State Golden Flashes in their NCAA Division I baseball contest held Sunday, April 12, at 1 p.m. The team features former McHenry High School standout Cooper Cohn.
The matchup, played at Ralph McKinzie Field at Walt and Janice Owens Park, was the teams’ third meeting of the season and evened their season series.
Cohn went 1-for-3 at the plate with a walk, tallied two strikeouts, and stranded three runners on base.
Next up for the Huskies is a scheduled game against the Illinois State Redbirds on Tuesday, April 14, set for Duffy Bass Field.
