On Saturday, March 7, the NYU Violets, featuring former Marengo Community High School standout Matt Volkening, were defeated 84-69 by the Wesleyan Cardinals in the NCAA Division III Basketball Tournament.

The matchup, beginning at 6:15 p.m., took place at Silloway Gymnasium and marked the Violets’ first tournament game against the Wesleyan Cardinals.
