The Richmond-Burton Community High School District 157 Board of Education announced on Mar. 17 that it is seeking a qualified individual to fill a vacant board seat until April 2027.
The vacancy offers an opportunity for community members to participate in the governance and direction of local schools. The board encourages interested residents to apply and help guide the future of education in the district.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have lived within the school district for at least one year, and be registered voters. Richmond-Burton Community High School District 157 represents McHenry County and includes Richmond-Burton High School according to the Illinois Report Card. The district employs a total of 43 teachers with an average salary of $65,602 before pension contributions; women make up just over half the teaching staff.
