President Obama signed a bill into law late last week, co-sponsored by U.S. Rep. Randy Hultgren (R-Dist. 14), that adjusts certain provisions of the Affordable Care Act to favor mid-size businesses. The Protecting Affordable Coverage for Employees (PACE) Act keeps the threshold for “small group” companies to 50 employees or less, instead of forcing businesses with 51-100 employees into the small-group market in 2016.
The McHenry County Department of Health said Tuesday it has confirmed a second case of West Nile virus this year. The latest case involves a Lake in the Hills man, who county officials did not name.
