The Pioneer Center for Human Services in McHenry is teaming up with local agencies and services to encourage participation in giving during the holiday season.
The goal of the effort, called #McHenryCountyGives, is to get all individuals, families, businesses and charities in the McHenry County area to engage during the holiday season.
Pioneer Center is encouraging McHenry County residents to join the #McHenryCountyGives movement on Dec. 1. The effort is designed to get residents to give to charities more often, as well as to get resident and charities work smarter to toward improving the community.
The day and effort is based on the #GivingTuesday effort.
