The Richmond Village Board approved its 2015 tax levy and discussed auditing services at its board meeting Dec. 3.
Village trustees discussed, then approved, the 2015 tax levy for $468,684.
The board discussed proposals for auditing services for the village. The village's finance committee discussed retaining the current firm, Eder, Casella & Co., as they were already familiar with the village and its Illinois Environmental Protection Agency loan.
The village received a low quote from a firm trustees decided was too small to handle the demands of the village. Another firm was considered to be too far away, while a quote from another firm was considered too high. Trustees voted to keep Eder, Casella & Co. for village auditing services.
