Barrington Hills approves $7.9 million budget

Citycouncil

The Barrington Hills Village Board approved a $7.9 million budget for fiscal year 2016 at a special meeting Dec. 8.

The $7,946,698 budget for 2016 is more than $415,000 less than the 2015 budget of $8,362,428. Village trustees emphasized that the reduction is showing fiscally responsibility, while saving taxpayers money.

Village trustees also reviewed accounting issues with the Emergency Telephone System Board (ETSB) funds after the dispatch center had been consolidated.

The treasurer' review looked at insurance. While specific numbers were not available for a breakdown of insurance items, a total amount was available.
