The McHenry County Liquor and License Committee met Monday morning to discuss two liquor license requests and one special license request.
The special license request came from the McHenry County Historical Society, which made the request to serve alcohol at a future raffle event.
The panel discussed a new application submitted by the Plumtree Country Club LLC. Erineo Carranza, the owner of the establishment, submitted an application for Class A and D licenses for the Havard business. Carranza intends to operate a restaurant and bar at the clubhouse Fridays and Saturdays.
The committee expressed concerns regarding property located outdoors. A Class A license had been approved on Dec. 7; this meeting allowed Carranza to present information and plans for the outdoor property relating to the Class D license.
Surprise Food & Liquor requested a change in their license from Class A to Class B, which would allow video game machines to be implemented at the facility. Action was postponed due to the illness of a co-owner of Surprise Food and Liquor.
