Lake in the Hills village trustees are scheduled to discuss payment for a road resurfacing project.
Lake in the Hills village trustees will meet at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Village Hall to discuss a road resurfacing project and other items.
Director of Public Works Fred Mullard, Director of Parks and Recreation Laura Barron and Director of Community Development Dan Olson will also make presentations at the meeting.
Trustees are scheduled to vote on a change order relating to a Motor Fuel Tax (MFT) road resurfacing pbeing performed by Arrow Construction. The change order would provide a credit of $18,580.58 and would decrease the contract amount from $784,407.45 to $765,826.87. According to the agenda cover sheet relating to this matter, Arrow is requesting the remaining $103,214.25 to be paid. Mullard indicated the department’s support of this measure.
Public works will also present information on the emerald ash borer and will facilitate a discussion that will acknowledge an agreement for a Speedway Fuel Station.
The parks and recreation presentation will focus on a waiver proposal for the Lake in the Hills Sportsman’s Club for its annual Ice Fishing Derby. The waiver would be related to daily fees and other items associated with the lake use permit system.
The Gordon Larsen Business Achievement Awards will also be discussed.
