The Algonquin Township Board is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Wednesday to discuss the proposed 2016-17.
The board also will be voting on appropriations transfers.
The First Electric Newspaper reports that drafting of the budget was initiated in February and that the final budget would be impacted by a report on whether the township headquarter’s septic system could be utilized for an extended period or if it would need to be serviced.
An audit and treasurer’s report covering the Town Fund, the Road and Bridge Fund, the General Assistance Fund and the Equipment and Building Fund is also on the agenda for the meeting.
Time will be set aside for public comment and questions prior to the discussions regarding appropriations and the proposed budget.
