The Lake in the Hills Village Board will meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to discuss the placement of temporary signs advertising special events in the village.
Temporary signage would be placed at key intersections within the village to advertise such events as a ham raffle on March 19, a breakfast event for Armed Forces Day on May 21, an annual golf outing on Aug. 19 and the village’s Oktoberfest on Sept. 17. The temporary signs would also advertise fish fry events that will take place multiple times this year.
Sign enforcement activity would be suspended for a period leading up to each event.
The meeting minutes state that the signs would be placed at the following intersections: Crystal Lake and Algonquin; Lakewood and Algonquin; Hilltop and Algonquin; Pyott and Rakow and at Pyott and Oak Street.
The board will also consider a waiver of the auxiliary license fee in relation to the Oktoberfest event.
