The McCullom Lake Village Board discussed the installation of stop signs at its Feb. 9 meeting.
The board considered installing stop signs at the intersection of Maplehill and Spring. According to the meeting minutes, motorists in the area tend to not yield as they drive down the hill. The board members noted that this can be dangerous and lead to an accident. It was suggested that after the signs are installed, flags be placed to ensure that drivers are aware of the new sign placement.
The board indicated that the matter would be discussed further at the next board meeting.
There was also a discussion relating to the Illinois Municipal Review, financing options for the replacement of trees and costs relating to garages and pavilion upkeep. More discussion will be held a future meeting, and board members were asked to research these areas.
