The Lake in the Hills Village Board voted Feb. 23 to approve bid contracts associated with two trucks requested by the Public Works Department.
The department had requested the purchase of two 2016 Ford F250 trucks, one with a standard cab and one with an extended cab. The usual bidding process had been waived due to a previous bidding process held earlier this year that resulted in no contract being awarded. At the meeting held prior to this one, it was determined that with new bid guidelines the offer from Currie Motors was the lowest bidder and was ultimately granted the award.
Meeting minutes from the committee of the whole session indicate that the extended cab vehicle would be utilized by the street division and the standard vehicle would be utilized by the water division. The total cost for both vehicle is set at $82,100.
During this meeting the board also accepted a bid for cleaning services from Perfect Cleaning Services for a total contract amount of $9,545 that would last until April 30, 2017.
The cleaning service bid and the vehicle bids were approved as part of the omnibus agenda.
The board also approved the Parks and Recreation Master Plan and the finalization of a printing contract with Creekside Printing to print three seasonal brochures and two messengers for the Parks and Recreation Department.
