The Lake in the Hills Village Board is scheduled to meet at 7:30 p.m. Thursday to authorize an agreement that will result in a special census for the village.
The agenda states that the board will vote on a memorandum of agreement with the U.S. Census Bureau to facilitate a partial census. In order for this to be completed, the village will be required to pay $50,154 to initiate the process. The agenda states that with this there will be consideration for an adjustment to the budget that will add $72,899 to account for the census.
A partial special census consists of accounting for population changes between regular federal census activity. Both full and partial special censuses are at the request of a municipality or other governmental unit. A partial census refers to the size of the municipality.
Trustees are also scheduled to consider the 2016 Zoning Map and text amendments to the zoning ordinance.
