The Crystal Lake Chamber of Commerce is inviting area businesswomen to come to this month’s Women Empowering Women meeting, which will focus on “Work-Life Balance in an Unbalanced World,” according to the chamber’s website.
Women Empowering Women meetings take place on the first Tuesday of the month from noon to 1 p.m. The Aug. 1 session will be held at the Park Place Banquet Facility. The event is primarily for chamber members, though non-members are invited to attend two sessions, after which the chamber asks that they become members.
Catherine Jones will cover several concepts of work-life balance, including whether it is achievable, how to cope with feeling spread too thin and how achieving work-life balance can help you. Jones’ session will also provide attendees with tools and techniques to establish and align priorities and get on a path toward a more balanced life, according to the chamber.
Attendees may bring their own lunch or choose from several meals available from Chen’s Chinese, ranging in price from $7.25 to $8.50. The group is also working to reach a collection goal of $2,000 for the Crystal Lake Food Pantry, and attendees are encouraged to bring a cash or check donation.
