Fox River Grove FPD responds to 41 fires in 2016

Fox River Grove Fire Protection District responded to 71 calls in 2016, according to data from the National Fire Incident Reporting System obtained by the McHenry Times.

The calls in Fox River Grove included 41 fires - 28 structure fires, two vehicle fires and 11 other fires.

In all, the department saw $66,450 in fire loss - or about $1,621 per fire.

The department also received 30 false calls.

The Fox River Grove FPD Firefighters' Pension Fund, which has active employee and retired or inactive employee, was $15 positive as of April 2016, according to the fund's mandated filings with the Illinois Department of Insurance. That amounts to $0 for every fire in 2016.
