Analysis: Johnsburg pays $2.55 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Johnsburg Police Pension Fund

Taxpayers contributed 71.2 percent of the $266,258 the Johnsburg Police Pension Fund brought in last year, or $2.55 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Johnsburg contributed $189,611 to the fund, which saw a $62,915 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $74,236, or 27.9 percent, in 2016. Another $2,411 came from other unspecified sources.
