Analysis: Woodstock pays $2.26 for every $1 pensioners contribute to Woodstock Fire/Rescue Dist. Firefighters' Pension

Taxpayers contributed 68.7 percent of the $1,100,780 the Woodstock Fire/Rescue Dist. Firefighters' Pension brought in last year, or $2.26 for every $1 from pension members, according to a McHenry Times analysis of the latest data reported to the Illinois Department of Insurance Pension Division.

In all, Woodstock contributed $756,012 to the fund, which saw a $77,993 increase in revenue over 2015. Members contributed $334,311, or 30.4 percent, in 2016. Another $10,457 came from other unspecified sources.
