Report: Woodstock spent $12,900 per student in 2016-17

Spending per pupil at Woodstock Community Unit School District 200 is up 6 percent from five years ago, according to a McHenry Times analysis of district finances.

The Illinois State Board of Education 2016-17 report card shows the Mchenry County school district spent $12,160 per pupil in 2012-13. It spent $12,900 in 2016-17.

The district saw its enrollment rise over the same period, from 6512 to 6605.

Woodstock's spending in 2016-17 was 1 percent lower than the state average of $12,973.
