Cary Park District recently issued the following announcement.
Summer Celebration fills the air with sights, sounds, and scents of a summertime party in the park for the entire community.
Join the Cary Park District on Friday, June 29 at Lions Park to celebrate Independence Day with the rock-n-roll sounds of “The Allstars”, a local band featuring music influenced by Tom Petty, Pat Benetar, Radiohead, just to name a few. The band performs from 7:30 – 9:30 pm with fireworks scheduled to start shortly after the bands performance.
Pack a picnic or purchase dinner from the food vendor on site to make your celebration under the stars complete.
Admission is free. Parking costs $10 for pavement parking and $5 for grass parking. Park opens at 6:30 pm for the evening’s festivities.
