Crystal Lake Fire Department issued the following announcement on July 9.
The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department placed mourning bunting at the City’s Three Fire Stations in honor of former Crystal Lake Rural Fire Protection District President Robert Seegers, who passed away on July 5, 2018.
He was 85 years old.
Seegers, who served as president of the Crystal Lake Rural Fire Protection District for 43 years, was dedicated to serving the community and made invaluable contributions to the City of Crystal Lake.
Bunting will be displayed until Thursday morning.
