The Fox River Grove Library trustees and staff welcomed the public to a Grand Reopening Celebration and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony on Saturday, October 20, 2018.

U. S. Senator Tammy Duckworth wrote a letter of congratulations to the Library, saying this “significant accomplishment is a testament to the library’s mission and drive for success.”

Congressman Peter Roskam attended the ceremony and congratulated the Library on renovating without requesting additional funds from taxpayers. He also hailed Illinois librarians for creating the greatest library system in the United States.

Library renovations included a modernized elevator, new paint and carpet throughout the Library, an ADA-accessible family restroom on the upper floor, safety improvements in Youth Services, a cozy reading lounge by the fireplace, a new exterior bookdrop, and more.
