Cary (McHenry County) home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Cary in McHenry County fell by $68,500 while total sales remained unchanged with 23 homes sold, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were 23 homes sold, with a median sale price of $174,500 - a 28.2% decrease over the $243,000 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were 23 homes sold in Cary in January 2016, as well.

The median sales tax in Cary for 2017 was $6,699.93. In 2016, the median sales tax was $6,645.40. This marks an increase of 0.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 3.8%.
