Richmond home prices fall in January 2017

The median sale price of a home sold in January 2017 in Richmond fell by $53,250 while total sales increased by 100%, according to BlockShopper.com.

In January 2017, there were four homes sold, with a median sale price of $98,500 - a 35.1% decrease over the $151,750 median sale price for the same period of the previous year. There were two homes sold in Richmond in January 2016.

The median sales tax in Richmond for 2017 was $4,178.93. In 2016, the median sales tax was $4,106.20. This marks an increase of 1.8%. The effective property tax rate, using the median property tax and median home sale price as the basis, is 4.2%.
